I absolutely love stripes for little boys, especially thick rugby style stripes. In my mind there is nothing more boyish than rugby stripes.

I just finished up another baby quilt. I am soooo in love with the backing fabric. It is fun, vibrant and girly (without being pink!)
Stats:
41.5”x32”
1 layer of Warm n’ White batting
Fabric: Kona Cotton “Snow” on front. A pink print for the name. Karavan by Valori Wells was used on the back (PWVW038Artisian.) Kona Cotton “Lime” for binding.

Our “31 days” series is coming to an end. Many of you have expressed sadness (I know it’s not really sadness, but I understand what you mean) at the impeding end. Those awesome little comments have really made my day! That means that I was able to share something that many of you found useful. I’m kind of sad to see the series end as well. I won’t get through all of the designs that were scribbled out in my notebook so you can look forward to a walking foot quilting post here and there. I’ll make sure to link them on the original “31 days” post so that you can find them easily. It has been fun, hard, frustrating at times (computer woes) and rewarding all rolled into one. However I’m also looking forward to having a little break and not having a deadline to meet every day. Plus this baby has been calling my name every time I sit at the computer with my back to it:

I finished up this customer quilt 2 days ago and finally made it to the post office. Well actually I caught the mailman at my door today. I love that I can print up shipping labels at home and that I can hand my package to the mailman! There are more pictures and details here.
The quilts are available in my shop.

This is my first ever 100% completed by me quilt:
I made this quilt about 7 years ago for my baby sister’s first baby boy. Have I really been quilting for that long? I had a lot to learn then (I feel like I still do.) Looking at it now there are some things I would do differently like adding more quilting, and using a better quality fabric for the border. I still love the pattern (Serendipity by M’Liss Rae Hawley from her book “Phenomenal fat quarter quilts.”) Right after I made this one I cut out pieces for another one in a girly version… yeah, I still have the pieces all cut out. Maybe it’s time to find that UFO. I really love this pattern because it looks awesomely complicated but it goes together pretty quickly.
