Crafty Girl

I can’t help it, sometimes I’m just so darn proud of my little ones. My six year old daughter has been trying to come up with ideas for something to sell on Etsy. This weekend she made a bunch of these decorative pins:

pins

Aren’t they cute?!?  … and in a very popular color combo too. I may or may not have had a little influence there :)
You can use them to decorate your pin cushions, scrapbook pages, memo boards, wedding bouquets, and crafts.
I helped her out a little bit with the glue. (We don’t need little fingers glued together.) She had fun with the beads and I had fun spending one on one time with her. These are available in my shop under “Ellie Mae’s Corner” for $3 per set.  Maybe eventually she’ll have her own shop!  And just so you know she’s getting all the money form the sale of these (minus any Etsy and Paypal fees.) She say’s she’s going to pay her tithing and save up for a kindle.
I love that my kids have entrepreneurial spirits. Last year they decided to sell ice cream at the park. Poor kids picked the hottest day to try it out. They made $5 and were so happy. Unfortunately we didn’t have dry ice so ice cream on regular ice doesn’t fare to well in the south :)

A few more designs

Here are two more designs that I was able to draw up for the tablet design class. The first is a Rose Spray and the second is a Diagonal Feather I could use to fill in a block.

Zen Doodle

One of our homework assignments for the tablet design class was to draw up a Zen Doodle. I came up with this:

Zen doodle

This is a lot easier with pen and ink vs. using a tablet and looking at the computer screen. There are a couple of designs that would work well for free motion quilting.
