Dairy Days

Last month our city hosted "Dairy Days" at the local farmer's market. The kids had so much fun and especially enjoyed visiting with all the dairy cows.

These adorable doe eyed Jersey calves really make me want a farm!

Summer Fun

The kids are about half way done with summer vacation. We've been taking advantage of local activities and have traveled to several state parks. Not much quilting has been going on but there has been lots of gardening and housework involved.

Hope you had an awesome 4th of July

I finally acquired a smart phone, albeit a lower end model. My last phone finally kicked the bucket. The sales people all chuckled when I showed them my old phone (Nokia Neuron.) I settled on the Motorola Moto G which is a pared down version of their fancy MotoX. I'm pretty happy with my new phone and find myself reaching for for my kindle and laptop less and less. It has a pretty decent camera (my one requirement) and I have loved having a point and shoot that fits in my pocket. Plus I really love the on board editing software.

Having a new phone with a camera piqued my curiosity and I checked out the whole Instagram thing. You guessed it, I now have an instagram account! You can check out my stream here:

I love seeing such inspirational photos on there. If you happen to have an instagram account let me know your user name in the comments. I'd love to see what inspires you. I'll leave you with one of my recent photos.

Happy photo taking!
